Where It Started
Our journey begins in Los Angeles, where Kyle Mills — a young graphic design artist passionate about transforming blank walls into vivid expressions of creativity — found his inspiration to build what would become Graphics Design Media. As a child, his father taught him watercolor and fabrication, sparking a lifelong love for art and the thrill of creation.
Kyle took up lapidary and woodworking in high school before attending Citrus College, where an elective drawing class opened his eyes to the world of digital art. That semester changed everything.
While in school, he landed a job as a sign maker at the well-respected Signs and Lucite. In 2005, his very first sign job was for the famous military installation known as Area 51.
As his passion evolved, Kyle explored the broader world of graphic design — street art, graffiti, and print. Working alongside mentors and fellow illustrators, he realized his street art skills could translate beautifully into digital media, blending the boldness of graffiti with the precision of digital tools.
Building Graphics Design Media
In 2004, Kyle designed the very first Graphics Design Media logo. By 2008, he’d committed to it full-time — no more day jobs, no more part-time work. That same year, he created the email graphicsdesignmedia@gmail.com, a name and branding still in use today. Working out of a garage studio in Pomona, CA, Kyle spent the following years building his skills, his tools, and his reputation, one project at a time.
Vegas, and Making It Official
In 2014, Kyle made the move to Las Vegas, taking a role as Head of Design at a large sorting and mailing/printing company — the last time he’d work for someone else. In 2015, he returned to freelancing full-time, entering a period of personal and creative transformation.
During this pivotal chapter, Kyle met Jennifer — a talented artist with a keen eye for design and a shared vision for the future. Their connection was immediate, both personally and creatively. Together, they saw the potential to turn their shared passion into a thriving business, setting out to change the perception of graphic design.
In 2017, Jennifer made it official — turning Graphics Design Media into a real, legal business on paper for the first time, alongside a growing team of dedicated artists and designers.
Growing Roots
In 2020, GDM opened its first retail location. From 2021 to 2023, the team also ran a smoke shop hybrid space on Durango in Las Vegas — always finding creative ways to build community alongside the business.
Today, we operate from a more central Las Vegas location. We’ve moved around plenty over the years, and that’s by design — being centrally located has never been what makes this business work. Face-to-face relationships, reliable shipping, and word-of-mouth trust have turned Graphics Design Media into a truly global operation. Right now, we’re doing work for clients as far away as Florida, Peru, and Canada — all from our shop here in Vegas.

We’ve never taken out a loan. Every bit of this business has been built the hard way — through work, reputation, and relationships. We’re proud to be a mom-and-pop shop, committed to eco-friendly practices, and grateful for every client who’s found us through word of mouth.
What started as a young man drawing, throwing events, tagging walls, and pushing the limits of art has grown into a respected, innovative company known for its unique blend of street art, fabrication, and digital design. Our story is one of passion, perseverance, and the belief that art has the power to transform not just spaces, but lives.
