Foil catches the light before anyone reads a single word on your card. It's the fastest way to signal "we paid attention to the details" — but with four different foil options in our shop, picking the right one comes down to your brand, not just your budget.

What Foil Actually Adds

Every foil finish starts the same way: your regular full-color print goes down first, then a separate die presses a thin layer of metallic film onto specific areas of the card. What changes between our four options is how that foil looks and feels once it's on the card — flat versus raised, one color versus two, workhorse versus showpiece.

Four Ways to Wear Foil

Foil Worx — Our most ordered foil card, and for good reason: a flush, flat foil accent in Gold, Silver, or Rose Gold that reads as polished without slowing down a bulk order. If you're handing out hundreds of cards a month, start here.

Raised Foil — Same idea, with texture. The foil is embossed so you can feel it under your fingertip, which turns a card into a small tactile moment. A natural fit for hospitality, boutique, and luxury brands where touch matters as much as look.

Dual Raised Foil — Two independent raised foil colors on one card. This is the option for a logo that's genuinely two-tone, or for a brand that wants a card nobody else in the room is carrying.

Akuafoil — All of the shine, none of the raised texture or the premium price tag. Akuafoil is a flat, glossy foil-look finish in Gold or Silver — the pick for brands that want the visual pop without paying for the embossing step.

Matching a Finish to Your Brand

A few quick rules of thumb from cards we print every week: running a high-volume networking push? Foil Worx or Akuafoil keep cost-per-card down. Building a premium or hospitality brand people physically remember? Raised Foil earns its keep. Launching something new, or want a card that photographs differently from everyone else's? Dual Raised Foil is the one people ask about.
